cape town was voted no. 3 at world's best awards conducted every year by the american travel & leisure magazine. the mother city was only beaten by bangkok and buenos aires. the voting for best cities was based on the following categories and characteristics: sights, culture/arts, restaurants/food, people, shopping and value.

last year just on the 10th position, cape town made a big step forward. elements of africa hopes that it will continue like this and that soon other african metropolises will follow!
